Well in one month time I will be stepping on to the largest dart stage in the world, the PDC World Championship finals. I have actually found the desire to practice and have began hitting it hard. Playing a few hours on my own a day plus meeting people every night I have off from the fire dept. I will say I have been playing a bit fustrated as I know the pressure is starting to weigh on me by leaving it so late to get ready but it also pushes me to do more.
I know when I walk on the stage my focus and enjoyment of being on stage will take over and there will be no pressure, just pleasure. I have found it hard to get motivated as I have pondered how much I will play after the world championships, it takes alot of time with practice and travel to play well not to mention money as I have no major sponsorship at this time. The game can bring alot of fun but also brings alot of sacrafice that the toll can be a high one with out the support at home and you for-go alot of other things life has to offer.
The remaining things I have on my list is to go back to the Asia Bullshooter in Hong Kong this Feb, The Las Vegas Open for the Nation Cricket finals and represent the USA at the NDA finals in April but beyond that I do not know what I will play as only time will tell.
Until next time ;) practice more then anyone you know and you will be better then anyone you know.
