Well once again I am sitting in a airport about to fly off to a foreign land after nonly being home for 3 days.... but this time it is for me :)  I am actually head to Cancun Mexico to take my first non-dart break away from work and life...God knows I need it right now but the only down side is when I get home I literally have to pack my bag and leave to Las Vegas for the PDC.  The upside to this vacation is I am going with some of my best friends who are also dart players, Chris White and Rob Heckman.  We planned this trip months and months ago before the PDC set the dates for Vegas so there will be some great daily practice with Ocean Views from my suite :)

I was out in Houston Texas last weekend for the Houston Open, a event that I really have enjoyed over the years and one of the few events I still go play in the States.

This tourny was a great success for the long time organizers as it hosted the World Masters try-outs so it had the strongest field it could hope for.  I am not allowed to play that event due to being a PDC member but figured it would be a great place to get a final tune-up at...and it was.  I played well on Saturday but was taken out of the Cricket event in the Top 8 by a winning member of the World Masters team....(wish I remembered his name sorry) It was not my best match of the day but overall I had played with great control and calmness.

Sunday seemed to come a little too early as Saturday night I happen to tag along with a few locals that showed me a bit of the Texas night  ;)  501 singles came Saturday afternoon and I was ready as I was going to be... the draw is annouced and wouldn't you know it?  I play the same guy that got me in Cricket.  Well this time I got to show him the difference between the WDF and PDC LOL.  I ended up on the right side of the 2-3 win with a nice 2 dart 84 finish for 13.  I went about 4 more rounds before I missed 5 clean darts to win two straight but I had fallen off the triple in this match.  It was like 60,60,60 140,60 etc in every game...but thats darts sometimes.  I feel ready to return to the PDC and hopefully I will have the success in Las Vegas I am looking for to secure my return to the World Championships.  I am playing with high confidence and a calmness that has being missing for sometime.

Well time to go board my plane for a week of fun and practice. Yo estoy muy contento de voy a de vacaciones!!!!
